🏸 Badminton at Widen arena
At Widen arena you will find 2 professionally equipped badminton courts, built for top quality play – from your very first training sessions to professional level competitions.
🏸 Professional YONEX badminton flooring
The courts have a professional cushioned YONEX badminton surface that meets the standards set for high level competitions.
YONEX court surfaces of this level are BWF (Badminton World Federation) certified and suited to professional international tournaments. YONEX court surfaces are used at the highest level of badminton – in BWF World Tour tournaments and world championships.
This means that at Widen arena you can play on a surface made for professional badminton and enjoy conditions close to those in which the world’s best badminton players compete.
The surface is designed specifically for the highly dynamic game of badminton:
✔️ Excellent grip – keeps you stable during sudden changes of direction and stops.
✔️ Shock absorption – the cushioned surface absorbs part of the impact and reduces the load on legs and joints.
✔️ Safety – the specialised surface lets you move around the court with confidence even during the most intense rallies.
✔️ Professional standard – YONEX surfaces of this level can be used in professional badminton tournaments.
💡 Targeted lighting designed for badminton
Lighting matters a lot in badminton. The shuttlecock can travel at tremendous speed and high above the court, so badly placed lights can make it hard to see.
The Widen arena courts have targeted lighting designed specifically for badminton. The light is aimed so that the court is well lit without dazzling the players or making it harder to follow the shuttlecock’s flight.
🏆 From the first shot to professional play
The courts are made for those who simply want to play with friends as well as for regular players, training with a coach, and the preparation and competitions of high performance athletes.
A professional YONEX surface, lighting adapted to badminton and quality equipment create conditions in which badminton can be enjoyed from the first shot to professional level play.
